The act of “purging” is a very important part of modern-day manufacturing processes. The word purge means to cleanse thoroughly, to remove what contaminates, and to expel what corrupts so that something can function as designed. Paul uses the word “purge” in 1 Corinthians 5:7. What does this important word mean for us as members of God’s church?
