The wave sheaf was the first fruit of the harvest. Similarly, we are called by the Father to be conformed to His Son- who is the First Fruit. The Word of God also brings forth another kind of fruit. As God allows us to grow to maturity, we understand that perseverance is necessary to develop character. With the knowledge of His will, such prepares us for the Kingdom.
